Educated and Varied Skilled Workforce “Clay County provides us with a deep pool of available, talented employees. Graduates of ITT Technical Institute, St. Johns River Community College and Florida Community College at Jacksonville, plus one of the best elementary, junior high and high school systems in Florida, provide a wonderful pipeline that we use to fill our positions. On top of that, with access to the large number of retired military personnel in the area, we have a tremendous resource for our technical positions. “To staff the service side of our operations,
we held a job fair. Over 270 people attended and 70 percent of those people qualified for the skill levels we were seeking. I cannot remember any other occasion when that many people qualified at one time.”

“The incentives certainly tipped the scales for our relocation to Clay County. However, it was the whole attitude that caught our attention. From the County Commissioners to the Economic Development Council officials and staff, everyone really wanted us to come to Clay County.

“We needed an 80,000 square foot facility with plenty of parking and access to an available local workforce. We were matched with a local developer who worked to get us a site, near major transportation routes, and who built us a beautiful facility to meet our needs and
to house a workforce within easy commuting distance.
“We found that Clay County officials just wanted us
more than anyone else. And they did everything
possible to make it work for our company.”
