ELECTRIC POWER
Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA)
is an electric, water and sewer utility company serving portions of Clay County. As of 2008, the JEA system has a total generating capacity of over 3,000 megawatts, of which more than 400 megawatts is reserve capacity. Competitive electricity rates and outstanding reliability ensure a level of predictability for businesses.

Clay Electric Cooperative (Clay Electric) is an incorporated, member-owned, non-profit electric power supplier, democratically organized and controlled by those it serves. The co-op’s power supply is provided by Seminole Electric Cooperative, a generation and transmission co-op owned by Clay Electric and nine other electric co-ops. Seminole’s coal-fired generating plant near Palatka is one of the most environmentally clean power plants in the state.

Florida Power & Light (FPL)  is the largest electric utility in Florida and one of the largest rate-regulated utilities in the United States. The company consistently outperforms national averages for service reliability while customer bills are below the national average. A clean energy leader, FPL has one of the lowest emissions profiles and one of the leading energy efficiency programs among utilities nationwide.

City of Green Cove Springs Electric Department (GCS) has provided electric power since early in the 20th century.  It owns and operates an electric utility which distributes electricity to residential, commercial and industrial customers in the City and adjacent areas of Clay County. Total power requirements are purchased through the Florida Municipal Power Agency located in Orlando, FL.  Fifteen other municipalities participate in this joint effort


WATER & SEWER
Clay County Utility Authority (CCUA) provides water, wastewater, and reclaimed water utility service to the unincorporated areas of Clay County. CCUA is a publicly owned utility company using the sound business practices of a private enterprise. All new applicants for commercial service must apply for service at CCUA office. JEA provides water from the Florida Aquifer to Clay County businesses in their service area. JEA also supplies sewer service by operating and maintaining five large sewage treatment facilities.

NATURAL GAS
Natural gas service is provided privately by TECO-Peoples Gas for almost the entire state of Florida. Natural gas is either presently available at industrial parks or readily available.
