Clay County has a comprehensive intermodal transportation system. The highway network contains major state and county corridors and includes Interstate 295 with connections to I-10, I-95. In addition, I-75 is approximately one hour east. Clay County has access to other
modes of transportation such as a deepwater port, Class I0 rail lines, and international air service. Furthermore, officials are investing in infrastructure to enhance the connectivity of the area such as pursuing a limited access highway that would connect Interstate 95 and Interstate 10 and expansion of the Jacksonville International Airport.

Air
Commercial
air service is provided by the Jacksonville International Airport (JIA). JIA is located approximately 25 miles north of Clay County with easy access from I-295 or I-95and has more than 5 million passengers travel annually. JIA provides non-stop service to major cities within the U.S. including connecting hubs for international gateways. More than a dozen major airlines and several regional carriers provide approximately 200 daily arrival and departures. New
Concourses, A and C, opened in November 2008 with 20 gates, moving walkways, concession and additional amenities for passengers.
General Aviation
The Keystone Airpark is located in both Clay and Bradford Counties and serves as the general aviation airport. Currently the airport consists of approximately 2500 acres and has 2 active runways; one is 100 ft wide and 5044 feet long and the other runway is 75 feet wide and 4899 feet
long. Both runways and associated taxiways have lighting for nighttime use. They are equipped with precision approach path indicator lights and an automated weather observation station that broadcast weather conditions. Keystone Airpark has added T-hangers and is in the early stages of developing a 200 acre industrial park.
Rail
CSX Transportation offers freight services to business and industry located in Clay County. CSX Transportation Inc., operates the largest railroad in the eastern United States with a 22,000-mile rail network linking commercial markets in 23 states, the District of Columbia, and two Canadian provinces.
Port
Deep Water Port
Deep water port access is available at JAXPORT through three public marine terminals: Blount Island Marine Terminal, Talleyrand Marine Terminal and Dames Point Marine Terminal. The Jacksonville Port can handle dry and liquid bulk, break-bulk, vehicle (Ro/Ro) and containerized cargo, as well as over-sized and specialty cargoes. It also has 14 container cranes,
on-dock refrigerated & freezer warehousing and Foreign Trade Zone status.
Barge Port
Clay Port/Reynolds Park Yacht Center consists of 1700 acres along the St. Johns River in Green Cove Springs. Reynolds Park is able to serve intermodal needs with railroad access (CSX), highway access (16 miles to I-10 or I-95), water access (1.1 miles of bulkhead, 13 piers) and a private airport (5,000 foot runway). The yacht facility offers fresh water storage, hurricane protection and
a full mega yacht service center.
